The Chess Bros

Empowering Youth, One Move at a Time

We are a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the game of chess as a tool to build confidence, critical thinking, and community among young learners. Founded in 2022 by two chess-enthusiast brothers in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, our mission is to make chess accessible, inclusive, and equitable for all students, regardless of background or circumstance.

What began as local sessions in our hometown has grown into a network of free chess learning programs across New Jersey and internationally, providing resources and support tailored to the needs of underserved and underrepresented youth. Through each program, we aim to empower young minds and break barriers — one move at a time!
